A noticia da seleção no programa / The CSC selection news

No dia 1 de Junho, eu recebi um email de um logon chamado "corpsvc", com o subject Accepted - Corporate Service Corps (CSC) program! eu fiquei em dúvida se eu tinha sido aprovado ou não, pinguei meu gerente Menoncin, ele me parabenizou confirmando que ele também havia recebi um email informando minha aceitação para o programa! A partir desta conversa com ele, chamei minha esposa Marilene, e dei a noticia a ela, O apoio dela foi sem dúvida tocante e motivador, ela não exitou em me parabenizar e suportar diante da noticia. Puxa, foi um dia bem emocionante, meu gerente encaminhou um email para meu time copiando meu gerente de segunda linha Gazoli contando a novidade. Abaixo está o conteúdo do email que recebi:

We are pleased to announce that Alexandre Ferreira has been accepted into the Corporate Service Corps (CSC) program. Given the highly competitive nature of the CSC selection process, it is an honor to be chosen to participate and a testament to you as a manager, and to your entire team for supporting Alexandre. E-mail notifications of our application decisions will go out to all applicants shortly.The CSC Program Office will be sending invitations to assignments that will deploy sometime between September 2011 and July 2012. No deployments will take place between November - January. Once the employee confirms the assignment, they will enter the three month preparatory process. This includes weekly conference calls with an estimated time commitment of 3-4 hours per week and should not interfere with a candidate's job. The assignment will consist of four weeks in country in which he or she will be completely focused on the assignment. During that period they will not be able to conduct their regular job. All direct program expenses: such as travel, lodging, per diem, etc, are covered by the CSC, while the employee's salary continues to be carried by their department. Once the employee returns they will be engaged in post service activities that should not interfere with their job.  A Learning Suite has been developed to help guide you through your role as a CSC participant's manager. Please consult this tool for your questions.

On the 1 day of June, I received an email from a log called " Corpsvc ", with the subject Accepted-Corporate Service Corps (CSC) program. I was in doubt if I had been approved or not, chatted with my manager Menoncin, he congratulated me confirming that he had also received an email confirming my acceptance to the program!
From this conversation with him, I called my wife Marilene, and gave her news, she supported and encouraged, congratulating me with the news received.
WOW, What a great day! A very exciting and fulfilling day! My manager forwarded an email to my entire team copying my second line manager Gazoli counting the news.

O inicio de tudo / The start of everything

Tudo começou quando vi no IBM noticias do dia 31 de março a chamada para inscrições no Corporate Services Corps*(*veja post "O que é o Corporate services corps"). O candidato deve preencher uma ficha de incrição explicando suas habilidades, conhecimentos, se já fez trabalho voluntário, como poderia contribuir para este programa, etc. A diferença neste ano é que IBM comemora 100 anos de vida, transformando sociedades e contribuindo para o progresso do mundo inteiro.
All started when I saw in the IBM news of the day 31 March a call for entries in the Corporate Services Corps * (* see post " What is the Corporate services corps "). The applicant must fill an application form explaining their skills, knowledge, if have made any voluntary work, how could contribute to this program, etc.
The difference this year is that IBM celebrates 100 years of life, transforming society and contributing to the progress of the whole world.
