O tempo tá passando super rápido... Já se foram duas semanas e duas a mais por vir !
A semana foi de muito trabalho e noites pouco dormidas, valendo algumas refeiçoes rápidas.
Às noites são dedicadas à integração com todo o grupo do CSC India 12 e à continuação dos trabalhos que não pudemos terminar durante o dia.

Essa semana o desafio foi grande, ter certeza que estavamos no caminho certo ou se seria preciso fazer mudanças no trabalho, depois de várias entrevistas com diferentes areas do hospital `Sankara' finalizamos a estrutura departamental. Proximos passos ; desenvolver o plano de implementação, treinamento dos funcionarios, criar realatório e fechar com as recomendações necessarias que documentará como e quando o `KM Portal '(Portal do Conhecimento) será disponibilizado para a comunidade e utilizado na implementação dos novos hospitais, lembre-se o objetivo principal é implementar 20 hospitais até 2020!
Apesar das lindas fotos, com o rostos alegres e paisagens exuberantes, logicamente não podemos deixar de lembrar das dificuldades e privações que passamos por aqui. A começar pelas cenas de pessoas vivendo em condições extremas de misérias e buscando alguma forma para sobreviver; pelas comidas apimentadas e locações com higiene duvidosas; pelos momentos de febre, dores de barriga e gripes que já enfretamos, pelas dificuldades e desafios de buscar um caminho comum diante de tanta diversidade e culturas distintas, e pessoalmente também pela impossibilidade de estar perto da minha família e da dona Rosa (minha mãe) em seu aniversário. Para suportar tudo isto, tenho que reconhecer que os novos amigos que fiz aqui foram e estão sendo essenciais para vencer todos estes desafios. Será um legado que levarei para a vida inteira.

The week was of a lot work and nights little sleep, and some fast meals. The nights are dedicated to the integration with all the group of the CSC India 12 and to the continuation of the works that we could not finish during the day.
This week the challenge was huge, to be certain that we were on the right track or if would be necessary to make changes in the work, after some interviews with different areas of the hospital `Sankara' we finish the departmental structure, next steps: to develop the plan of implementation, training of the employees, to create report and to finalize the necessary recommendations regarding the 'KM portal' Knoledge Managemt portal, that will be shared for the community and used in the implementation of the new hospitals, the main objective remembers is to implement 20 hospitals up to 2020!
Although the pretty photos, with the glad faces and exuberant landscapes, logically we cannot leave to remember the difficulties and privations that we pass this way. To start for the scenes of people living in extreme conditions of miseries and searching some form to survive; the spice foods and locations of hygiene doubtful, for the fever moments, belly aches and flu, the difficulties and challenges to ahead search a way common of as much diversity and distinct cultures, and personally also for the impossibility to be close to my lovely family and my mother (dona Rosa) in her birthday.
To support everything, I have to recognize that the new friends who I made here had been essential to overcome all these challenges.It will be a legacy that I will lead for the entire life.

Last Saturday we travel 2horas by car for a distant and small village called (Devanurpudur) where the objective was to observe one of Sankara’s outreach camps.

No domingo, participamos do Dia Mundial da Visão 2011, evento realizado pelo Hospital Sankara no Brookefields Shopping em Coimbatore. Eu, Mercedes, Sverren assim como os demais participantes fomos vendados com um pano preto e solicitados para formar uma corrente humana. A ideia era que os participantes sentissem como as pessoas com deficiência visual gerenciam suas atividades. As crianças indianas tambem participaram fazendo diversos desenhos sobre o tema ! Cada desenho bacana!
To mark the World Sight Day celebrations 2011, Sankara Eye Centre in association with Rotary Coimbatore Central, Suryan FM and Brookefields had organised the event. Myself, Mercedes, Sverren and other participants were blindfolded with a black cloth and were asked to form a chain. The idea was to make the participants feel how visually-impaired people manage.
